Reduced dropouts
- In Montana, SRT® implementation reduced school dropout rates by 29.4%.
- In Colorado, 82.4% of at-risk youth who participated in an SRT program remained in school.
- In an alternative high school in Spokane, Washington, student completion of academic requirements increased from 5% to 59% after SRT implementation.
- During a 3.5-year period, 84% of high risk students facing long-term suspension in a Billings, Montana, senior high graduated, received a GED, or remained positively engaged in education, with only 16% dropping out or expelled.
Retained revenue
By keeping at-risk students in school, SRT programs pay for themselves many times over through retained school tax revenue. An SRT program costing a school district $15,050 (not including teacher and administrator salaries) resulted in school revenue retention of $259,600—a net revenue gain of $244,550.
