SRT Coach Training
Our intensive, three-day SRT® Coach Training is required for all SRT Coaches prior to program launch. In the three-day class, generally conducted at your site, trainees learn the theoretical foundations and practical information to become successful SRT Coaches. As they acquire new knowledge and tools, trainees’ team spirit is revitalized, and their enthusiasm for teaching and helping at-risk youth is renewed.
Theory.
The training provides in-depth exposure to the theory and research that underlie SRT. Topics covered include techniques for supporting success for at-risk youth, cognitive behavioral interventions, and the SRT philosophy of growth and change.
Practical guidance.
Trainees personally experience the entire SRT high school curriculum. They receive guidance and support as they practice presenting the curriculum. Helpful hints, based on the experience of other districts and Coaches with SRT, are presented.
Continuing Education Credits.
The three-day SRT Coach Training delivered by one of our trainers is approved for 2.1 CEUs through Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
Have Your Own SRT Trainer.
We now have the complete SRT training available on DVD, as well as SRT student lessons on DVD. Once your trainer and an administrator have attended a live SRT Coach Training, they can train your staff your staff at significant savings in travel and training fees.
